The people of Fellowship Independent Baptist Church, San Antonio, Texas, are committed to pray for the safe return of all soldiers. Further, we desire to focus on the families and soldiers in our local San Antonio area.
The Blue Star Service Flag was adopted by congress, in 1917, to represent the sons and daughters of families across our nation. These brave Americans put their life on the line for all America holds dear. That is why we, at Fellowship Independent Baptist Church, a faithful and patriotic group, are taking on a campaign of prayer. The gift of a memento will be sent to each family to display in honor of their soldier.
The faithful prayer warriors of Fellowship Independent Baptist Church want to have a clear focus of who we are praying for. We ask you to send your soldier's picture and name to enable us to pray by name for their safe return each time we meet.
To further our commitment to the community in return for your soldier's picture, name and mailing address we will send him or her a personal letter. This is a letter of encouragement to let them know that we support them and are praying for their safe return home.
In return for sending the name, picture and mailing information for your soldier the people at Fellowship Independent Baptist Church will send to you a memento that you can proudly display in your home or car so that all who see it know you have a soldier serving our country.
A display of the service members is created in our church and we are committed to pray for each and every one by name each time we meet. All families are invited to come and join us in prayer during any of our services.
